HYPOCRISY – during the Planning Debates at Swansea Council over Mynydd y Gwair,
a newly elected Councillor Uta Clay (Labour) was very rude to locals in the
Public Gallery. Her husband Bob Clay was soon after elected onto Swansea council for
Labour. She is Austrian and he is an ex English
Public School pupil and graduate of Cambridge University. Both are lifelong
Trotskyites and big pals of Corbyn. Bob Clay was a Labour MP in Sunderland where he lost his seat. They then drifted
around for a bit. They were in Hereford
for a while and active there in preserving “English Heritage” (probably only
just to annoy the Tory Council there) SEE EXAMPLE BELOW. They then washed
up into Swansea like political driftwood, and
both got elected as Labour onto Swansea
Council, in Llansamlet Ward. They became huge supporters of destroying
Mynydd y Gwair – spouting “green” nonsense whilst driving around in a big
old smoky diesel car. Plaid Cymru should be opposing people like this. Do they?
No, they support them with fellow “green bile!”. The Clays are moving on in May
after the 2017 County elections – presumably to work for their old pal Corbyn
with whom Bob Clay was a big buddy as MPs together under Blair.

Ribbon campaigners question Council decision
Campaigners
fighting to preserve the Rotherwas Ribbon (England) say they will be
taking the 'issue further' after they claimed a council scrutiny committee
decision to endorse a plan to build a road over the Bronze Age find was
invalid.
The
4,000-year-old pathway of stones was discovered during work to build a relief
road to an industrial estate near Hereford.
Herefordshire Council's environment scrutiny committee called in a cabinet
decision to build the relief road over the archaeological find – also known as
the Dinedor Serpent – and endorsed the council's decision. Now campaigners and
councillors - who oppose the decision to preserve the ribbon for future
generations under a protective layer and build the road over it – are
questioning the validity of the scrutiny committee process for a number of
reasons, including a failure to discuss certain evidence pertaining to the
importance of the find, and a lack of key witnesses.
Campaign
Co-ordinator Bob Clay said: "It seems that the Council successfully
staged a "cover-up" of this huge discovery for two months, hoping to
get the road continued before adequate consideration of alternatives could take
place. English Heritage have said that they cannot make a decision on
scheduling until the full extent of the Ribbon is ascertained. The Council
implied this would take 6 months and decided it was 'too expensive' to delay
the road."
However,
Councillor Bob Matthews, chair of the environment scrutiny committee, explained
the committee had sought to 'achieve a balance' in accommodating many strongly
held views. The Committee also dismissed accusations that the council had kept
the find secret from the public but it did note that information flow within
the council had 'fell short of that normally expected'. It recommended work
should be set in place to address for the future the problems presented by this
period when cabinet and councillor roles were in a state of flux. The
recommendations of the committee will now go back to the council’s cabinet for

INNOGY
/ DAWNUS at BOLGOED - access track works for Mynydd y Gwair.
As I have
said before, INNOGY recently sent out hundreds and hundreds of waffle post
cards to residents all over the area with no useful list of contacts for
who the LIAISON COMMITTEE is. Just one e mail address for INNOGY itself, which
residents say does not answer messages. I have not tried that myself, as on
principle I want no contact with greedy vandals.
The
problem I have is that residents are phoning me, not Liaison Committee Members,
as they do not know who they are - asking me to forward matters to any
LIAISON Committee members that I have limited e mail addresses for.
Here are the latest residents’ alleged complaints:-
(1) DAWNUS
is still starting work early and noisily before 7am most days and waking people
up. Can’t they start later?
(2) They
have about twenty people working on site now (white collar and blue collar and
no true local village personnel) who mostly arrive in their own
individual cars. They then hog essential local parking at the two nearby
lay-bys and other parking spaces. Can’t they come in arranged mini buses from a
convenient pick up place e.g. the old Felindre Steel works site nearby?

Workers have allegedly told residents that INNOGY and DAWNUS are surprised how
soon they have hit solid bedrock of solid sandstone, and at one location, not
far from homes, they are going to loud “peck” using huge machines
about five metres down through this solid rock to create a wide deep
roadway cut for the abnormal loads. Is this true? Will this be limited to noise
regulations and social hours? Who will monitor this?
Hi Chris, You need to understand a few facts about
Renewable Energy after what you said on Swansea Sound Radio today
5-3-17:-
You claimed today that Wave
Energy was predictable. Ask any surfer – Wave Energy is whipped up by the unpredictable
wind. It is tidal that is predictable – but you know that. I support
the Swansea
Lagoon as a “starting point” , not as an answer. It only has a MAXIMUM
output of 299 MW at a full Tide race – it is NIL four times a day and 299 MW
four times a day at predicted times. I’d like to know its average. The UK Grid
can take over 52,000 MW and generally consumes 40,0000 MW. The Lagoon will need
a Gas Fired (Carbon Fuelled) Power Station to back it in parallel with tidal
peaks and troughs. That is planned for Abergelli Farm in Mawr (again!).
Now I am at it – I am still
resentful of how during the Ilston Solar Panel presentation, the presenters
said totally untruthfully that their scheme would be 35% effective. I
challenged that and said it would be more like 12% and you then dismissed me
and rubbished my claim much to the delight of people like Sybil Crouch – she
was then in the Cabinet. Serious Freedom of Information Questions to
Government have since revealed truthful answers that on average all Welsh Solar
Panels installed are only about just 10% effective – which is more or less what
I said - and far from what untruths the Ilston developers said and you and all
backed their falsity with derision and laughter about me.
I might as well go on about Mynydd
y Gwair – the developers have now admitted publicly that this scheme
will only on average produce 8 MW. The UK Grid can take over
52,000 MW and generally consumes 40,0000 MW. Your colleague Peter Black
supports the Mynydd y Gwair scheme. Is he numerate ?
I nearly phoned in to
Swansea Sound Sunday Hotline morning to rubbish you and the Lib Dems over
Renewable Energy, but I did not wish to publicly stab you personally in the
back as you’ve been personally good to me most of the time and to Swansea
in the past Administration. Just make sure that FACTS are given and not black
myths in future.

massive concrete foundations? Or will DAWNUS be doing these other works?

Does your “brief” include supervising that INNOGY and its contractors do not
trespass or infringe into Common Lands as at the access track at Bolgoed CL68
and the eventual the SWALES on Mynydd y Gwair CL77 itself? If so, do you have
the appropriate latest large scale maps of the Common Land boundaries? If not,
then who, if anyone, is supervising this aspect of the work? Who is your lead
Officer? Is it someone from Planning or Building Regulations?

What exactly is the role of Jenny Cowles the INNOGY Clerk of Works? Is it just
duplicating your work?

Is the bat roost tree and its root network securely and safely fenced yet?

Have proper Wayleave sturdy Fences yet replaced the easily movable “pegs”
alongside boundaries of all works?
(6)
Whose job is it to safe guard any ancient monuments or sites of scientific
interest or wild species during the project?

The proposed
Mynydd y Gwair Wind Turbines for Mynydd y Gwair Common in north Swansea
will be about 485 ft high, situated near Swansea’s highest point
Penlle’rcastell which itself is at 1200 ft above sea level which is remote and
very often shrouded in mist. All concerns about possible aircraft crashes have
been dismissed by all appropriate Authorities – including the developers
INNOGY. One regular flight in that area is the Air Ambulance conveying patients
to Casualty or the Burns Unit or Heart Unit etc. at the big nearby Regional Morriston
Hospital in north Swansea. Now the news report below adds
to the concerns of responsible people:-

........... 0.75 GW or a LAUGHABLE 2.08 PER CENT !! ......

WOULD BE FAR WORSE, BECAUSE THE DEMAND WOULD SHOOT UP FROM 36 GW TO ABOUT 45 to
50 GW........WHILST THE WIND WOULD NOT.........OR COULD NOT......SUPPLY EVEN A
PALTRY EXTRA WATT !!
SO THE PERCENTAGE FROM WIND WOULD PLUMMET BELOW THAT 2 PER
CENT !! !!
IF IT WAS MID WINTER AND THERE WAS A LIGHT , BITING SUB-ZERO
WIND FROM SIBERIA WE WOULD BE IN MAJOR TROUBLE

Demand would rise to 60 GW , but the wind would remain the
same.........AWOL !!
This information needs to be conveyed to newspapers and
politicians.
It is yet ANOTHER day when wind energy has been absolutely
hopeless in supplying the UK.
Yet THIS is our future supply according to the non-technical
innumerates who "know everything" about electricity supply...........AND
THESE BUFFOONS ARE IN CHARGE !!
We need to get this message out to as many as possible,
please.

Election Packs
are out now from Election Offices in your COUNTY Council Offices.
Nominations
open 20-3-17 and close on 4-4-17 - soon.
There is
nothing to pay and you only need a local proposer and seconder from the
electoral register for the Ward.
Very often
not enough candidates come forward for COMMUNITY Elections so you could very
well be returned unopposed.
You can have
your say in local issues and use the title “Councillor” as it suits you in
trying to influence local decisions e.g. Planning.
You do not have
to go out canvassing with a leaflet – but that helps. Go for it and ask a
friend to do likewise!
Generally they
only meet about once (or twice) a month in the evenings.
